Hi, I’m Konner Dodson, a Public Relations student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I developed a strong passion for storytelling, brand communication, and creating meaningful content that connected with different audiences. My work blended PR writing, social media strategy, event support, and hands-on experience in fast-paced environments

I built my communication skills through roles in athletics, tourism marketing, hospitality, and student media each experience teaching me how to communicate clearly, adapt quickly, and support audiences with different needs. I enjoyed creative problem-solving, strengthening brand presence, and telling stories through both visual and written content.
In Summer 2025, I served as a Global PR & Marketing Intern with EXest Inc. (WOW U) in Tokyo, where I created tourism content for international audiences and contributed to promotional materials for cultural workshops. These opportunities helped me grow as both a communicator and a professional.
Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, learning new design techniques, staying active, and exploring creative projects.

During my time at Virginia Commonwealth University, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Throughout my studies, I strengthened my abilities in PR writing, audience analysis, social media strategy, and brand communication. I gained hands-on experience through coursework that focused on real-world campaigns, media messaging, and integrated communication planning.
I maintained a 3.8 GPA (with a 4.0 in my major) and reached several milestones, including completing advanced writing courses, developing professional-level projects, and preparing for international internship work in Tokyo. My education allowed me to sharpen my communication skills, improve my design and research abilities, and build a strong foundation for a career in public relations.
